Setting up your Pilea workspace
Setting up your Pilea workspace takes about 5 minutes. We recommend connecting your first feedback source during onboarding so you can start exploring your data when your workspace is ready. If you connect a high-volume feedback source, setup can take up to 30 minutes. We’ll send you an email when it’s ready.
Step 1: Create your organization
- Go to https://app.getpilea.com/ and Sign in with SSO or Create account.
- Accept the Terms of Sale and Data Processing Agreement, then click →.
- On the next screen, enter your Organization name. This name becomes your workspace name. The URL for your workspace becomes app.getpilea.com.
- Enter your company or product website. Pilea uses this to understand your product context during analysis.
- Click Create workspace.

Step 2: Set Up Personal Identifiable Information (PII) Redaction
PII redaction removes personal details (such as names, emails, phone numbers) from feedback before Pilea analyzes it. It is turned on by default.
- Review the Automatically redact PII toggle. It is enabled by default.
- Leave it on unless you have a specific reason to disable it. Redaction is free and has no impact on analysis quality.
- Click Next.
💡 Tip: Turn off redaction for organization names to see which company each piece of feedback is tied to.
Step 3: Connect a Feedback Source
This is where the insights come from.
- Select an integration where you collect customer feedback (Intercom, HubSpot, etc.).
- Click the integration tile and follow the setup instructions.
- The tile turns green when successfully connected.
- Click Next to continue.

💡 Tip: You can add more feedback sources on the integrations page later. You can also connect your tool via the Pilea API.
Step 4: Upload Files
Bulk upload files like customer surveys or customer interviews to seed your backlog with existing feedback.

Step 5: Invite Your Team
- Enter your colleagues’ email addresses in the invite field and click the + button after each one.
- Click Continue when done. Invite teammates later from Settings > Invite team.
Finishing Setup
Pilea will display a loading screen while it sets up your organization, configures your analysis framework, and prepares your workspace. This can take time if you connected a high-volume feedback source. When it’s done, Pilea sends you an email with a link and you’ll land on your workspace dashboard ready to explore.

First-time login password change
If your account was created with a temporary password, you’ll be prompted to change it on your first login. Choose a strong password (minimum 8 characters) and you’ll be able to access your workspace immediately after.
