Your best customer insights are often said out loud - on sales calls, in user interviews, during check-ins. Pilea connects to four meeting recorders and imports recordings and transcripts as interviews: Jiminny, Granola, Fireflies, and Gong.

Once connected, new recordings flow in on their own. With Auto-analyze recordings on, a call recorded in the morning is transcribed, summarised and linked to your backlog by the afternoon, with no manual review step.

How connecting works

All four connect the same way, with an inline API-key form:

In Pilea, go to Integrations in the sidebar under Data Sources.
Find the recorder’s tile under Meetings and click Connect.
Paste your key into the API key field. Your key is validated and stored encrypted.
Set Import recordings from - how far back to import. Adjustable later in settings.
Choose whether to enable Auto-analyze recordings - skip manual speaker review, so recordings are transcribed and analyzed end-to-end automatically. It’s off by default.
Click Connect.

Jiminny asks for one extra thing: your Data region, US (app.jiminny.com) or EU (app.jiminny.eu). Match the address you use to sign in to Jiminny - a key only works against its own region.

Fireflies and Gong offer one extra option: Download full recordings, which fetches the original audio/video instead of just the transcript. It’s slower, and transcripts work just as well for analysis.

After connecting, use Sync now on the connected card to pull recordings in straight away. Only admins can change integration settings.

Where to find your API key

Jiminny

Go to Settings → API in Jiminny (admin only). Then pick your data region in Pilea’s connect form.

Granola

Go to Settings → API in Granola and generate a personal key. It starts with grn_.

Fireflies

Go to Settings → Developer Settings in Fireflies and copy your API key.

Gong

Go to Company Settings → Ecosystem → API in Gong and click Create (admin only). Gong is the one recorder that uses two fields: paste both your Access key and Access key secret into Pilea’s connect form.

💡 Tip: Leave Auto-analyze recordings on unless you specifically want to review speakers by hand - with it on, recordings flow straight from your recorder to analyzed interviews with zero manual steps.

How syncing works

Automatic. Pilea polls every connected recorder every 6 hours for every workspace that has Auto sync switched on for it (the toggle on the connected card). Each sync only pulls meetings on or after your import date, and only what’s new since the last run.
Manual. Click Sync now on the connected card whenever you want fresh recordings immediately.
Interviews, not raw files. Each recording lands as an interview with a descriptive, editable title, ready for analysis. Read Working with mentions for what happens next.

Recorder settings

Click a connected recorder’s card to open its settings. Settings apply to the current workspace; other workspaces can have their own.

Settings tab - Import meetings from (syncs only pull meetings on or after this date), and Which meetings to import: All meetings, Match keywords (only meetings whose title contains one of your words), or Match a description (Pilea uses AI to import only meetings that fit a description you write). You can also toggle Auto-analyze recordings and, for Fireflies and Gong, Download full recordings.
API key tab - replace the stored credentials without disconnecting. Jiminny lets you change the region here too.
Advanced tab - disconnect the integration.

Good to know

Meeting recorders connect at the organization level; every workspace in your organization can access them, and each workspace has its own sync toggle, import date and meeting filter.
Pilea only reads from your recorder. It never writes to or modifies your recorder’s data, and credentials are encrypted at rest. Disconnect anytime.
PII redaction (Settings → PII Redaction) applies to imported feedback across all sources, including transcripts.
